The South African unemployment recent statistics an increase in the number of people who are unemployed in the country. The South African youth, in particular, continue to be vulnerable in the labour market. This calls for serious action as the youth is regarded as the future of this country.

The above unemployment problem indicate that:

- There are a lot of people looking for a job, both young and old, in the country.

- There is a great discrepancy between people looking for a job compared to the number of job opportunities available in the country.

- The economic structure of the country has a huge effect on the unemployed people and the use of technology has made it worse.

- It suggests that anyone looking for a job should do it the smart way and position themselves correctly, though the use of social media and technology.

It is against the above-mentioned backdrop that the Career Development and Employability Online Webinar, on the 6th of October 2024, will be of great help to many young people in the country. This webinar will not only be directed to unemployed graduates, but it will include those who are in tertiary education, interns, graduate programs, and those who are looking for better employment opportunities.
